As a result of COVID-19, Town Hall is still closed to the public, but is now open to those who wish to pay their taxes in person. Tax payers will be required to enter through the Center Road main door and exit through the Morehouse Road side door. The announcement was made by Krista Kot, Easton tax collector.

Masks are required for entry and social distancing will be in effect. Tape marks on the floor indicate safe spacing.

The Tax Collector’s Office accepts payments from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is closed from 1 to 2 p.m. for lunch.

There are several alternatives to in-person paying. Payments may be made by mail to Tax Collector’s Office, 225 Center Road. Payments may also be left in the blue bin in the police department lobby for those who wish to avoid the stairs.

According to Kot, the goal is to begin accepting credit card payments online by July 10 at (Tax Collector’s page). Processing fees apply.

However remitted, the deadline for tax payments is Aug. 3.
