Police received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins, and in some cases ,personal property thefts. The incidents occurred in lower Easton and prompted Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle to urge vehicle owners to lock their cars.
Overnight, a Fair Oak Drive resident reported a male breaking into the vehicles in their driveway. He was observed running into a waiting car. Several hours later, police received another call that two males were walking through a yard on Birch Drive heading toward Asmara Way, according to police reports.
Police responded to both incidents; no suspects have been apprehended so far.
Only unlocked cars have been entered unlawfully. Doyle suggests that cars be locked in driveways as well as in public places. He also advises residents not to keep valuables in their cars.
