To the Editor:
I have seen several ads promoting Nick D’Addario for the Board of Selectmen. What these promotional pieces don’t tell you is that Nick has lived in Easton only a little more than a year. He moved here with his family in June 2022. In February 2023, he was appointed to the Planning and Zoning Commission and now, just eight months later, he is running for a seat on the Board of Selectmen. Apparently, he has attended, in person, very few meetings of that board to observe its operations.
One only can speculate that at the beginning of the year, the DTC selected newcomer Nick to replace Robert Lessler on the Board of Selectmen and promoted him to Planning and Zoning Commission so that he could show any town involvement. I have nothing negative to say about Mr. D’Addario personally, but I question why the people of Easton would want to elect an Easton newcomer to the governing board of the town.
