Due to high winds, there are two separate power outages in town according to United Illuminating’s website. At present, 597 homes ( 20.09% of UI customers) are without power.
Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle reported there are downed wires on Maple Road, Church Road and Knollcrest.

The Nor’easter that swept through the region Wednesday night into Thursday morning dumped 10 inches of snow on Easton and knocked out power for 90 residents.

A day of
sturm und drang ended in brilliant moonlight. There was little else to look at. Homes were in darkness as were their occupants. There was no way to know when power would be restored and no way to find out.
