Home Covid-19 Test Distribution Rescheduled

Residents May Pick Up Monday, Jan. 3 at 6 p.m. at SSES

First Selectman David Bindelglass has issued the following statement about arrival of home test kits for the town of Easton:

As many of you are aware, there has been a fair amount of confusion about the availability of home test kits being made available by the state of Connecticut. The town will be receiving 540 kits (two tests per box) on Monday morning. After allocating some kits to emergency services and schools, the remaining kits will be distributed to residents.

Two kits will be available to each car while supplies last. You must show ID with proof of residence in Easton. We will begin distributing at 6 p.m. at Samuel Staples Elementary School.  Please line up on Morehouse Rd. from the south (coming up from Beers Rd.) after 5 p.m. so as not to interfere with the school buses. Cars arriving before 5:00 PM will be turned away.

Tests have been available at a number of pharmacies and on line on an intermittent basis and more will be shipped. We encourage only people who are symptomatic or have a known exposure to take tests. Please be considerate of your neighbors. This is still contingent upon the town receiving the kits tomorrow morning.
