On June 5 at approximately 8:56 p.m. Easton police officers were dispatched to the area of Burr Street to investigate a single-car motor vehicle accident. The driver had struck a large tree and was leaning against the driver’s side door of the vehicle when officers arrived.
The individual admitted to having a few drinks earlier in the evening and was unable to pass the standard field sobriety tests. The individual was charged with for Driving Under the Influence and later released after posting a set cash bond of $500. They are scheduled to appear in court on June 17.
