On Tuesday, Nov. 7, registered Easton voters will vote in a municipal election for candidates running for Board of Selectmen, Town Treasurer, Town Clerk, Tax Collector, Board of Finance, Easton Board of Education, Region 9 Board of Education, Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Assessment Appeals, Constables and the Library Board.

Voting will take place at the Samuel Staples Elementary School Cafetorium from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election day voter registration will be held in the front lobby of Samuel Staples Elementary School from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the Town of Easton website.

First Selectman

Candidates: Incumbent David Bindelglass (D) and Wendy Bowditch (R)

Selectman

Candidates: Incumbent Kristi Sogofsky (R) and Nick D’Addario (D)

Town Clerk

Candidates: Whendi Cook Broderick (D) and Incumbent Debbie Szegedi (R)

Candidates: Incumbent Christine Calvert (R) and Thomas F. Hughes Jr. (D)

Board of Finance

Candidates: Incumbent Art Laske (D), Incumbent Mike Kot (R), Mike Gutowski (D), and Mark Mulvaney (R)

Voters can choose up to two candidates.

Region 9 Board of Education

Note: The Region 9 Board of Education oversees Joel Barlow High School. The Board is comprised of four elected members from Easton and four from Redding. 

Candidates: Adam Dunsby (R), Incumbent Karen O’Brien (D), Darin Bershefsky (R), and Jon Stinson (D)

Voters can choose up to two candidates.

Zoning Board of Appeals

Candidates: Thomas Dollard (U) and Leny Wallen-Friedman (D)

Board of Assessment Appeals

Candidates: Scott Charmoy (D) and John Miranda (R)

Constables

Candidates: Darrin Silhavy (R), Irv Silverman (D), Anthony Battaglia (R), David Katz (D), Anthony Farmer (R), Raymond Martin III (D), and Chris Peritore (R)

Voter can choose up to four candidates.
